BECOME A CITIZEN SCIENTIST AT ELLERBE CREEK
JULY 27-AUGUST 2
Want to get outside in a pretty place? Like scavenger hunts? Want to participate in citizen science? Me too! And we're in luck.
We need your help locating invasive species across Ellerbe Creek. Over the next two weeks, volunteers (hopefully you!) will be using the iNaturalist App to identify and mark invasive species at five different Ellerbe Creek preserves. Its easy, fun, and will help us gather the information we need to combat invasive species and restore our local ecosystems.
This is a perfect activity for all ages and experience levels, and social distance friendly. All you need is a desire to be outside, a smart phone with a camera, and the iNaturalist app!
How?
Sign up to participate in the Bio Blitz here! Once you sign up, we'll reach out to provide you with maps and more specifics about the project.
Want Training First?
We will also be holding three optional trainings. These will focus on how to use the iNaturalist app, and give some more information about the project in general. Sign up for the trainings below. You do not have to go to the trainings to participate in the bio blitz.
