Welcome to the Lily Bulb Blitz 2020! Keep Durham Beautiful is offering FREE LILY BULBS to Durham community gardens, faith-based gardens, garden clubs, schools, and neighborhood groups!

The deadline to apply is midnight on Wednesday, July 1st. There are 74 available bulb packets that can be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

Pickup will take place at our offices at 2011 Fay Street on Thursday, July 2nd from 3:30-6:00p.m. and Friday, July 3rd from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Pickup will be organized in a socially distance and safe manner.

Please apply if your group qualifies as a Durham community garden, faith-based garden, garden club, civic/service organization, school or neighborhood group.

Eligibility:

• someone able to pick up on designated days

• plant within one week of receiving

• planted by volunteers of an eligible group in Durham

• plant in a space visible to the public such as in a community, school, faith-based or neighborhood common space or street front

*Please note that all parts of the lily flower are highly toxic to cats. Carefully determine a safe place for these flowers if you or your neighbors have indoor/outdoor or outdoor cats.
