Tree Keeper Series: Pruning Workshop

  • 1501 Green St Durham, NC, 27705 United States (map)

Join us and the Durham Tree Advocates as we kick-off tree planting season! This is the first of two workshops in our Tree Keeper series, which is designed to give folks in the community the knowledge they need to assist other volunteers in future tree planting projects. The workshop is free and open to the public. If you are intending to become a Tree Keeper we ask you to attend both workshops in the series and be prepared to attend at least one tree planting this season and utilize their newfound skill to teach others the basics of tree planting and care.

This workshop will focus on the basics of pruning, a necessary process of removing select limbs that will affect the growing tree’s shape, strength, and even its life span. The next workshop will be taking place on Saturday November 11th and will focus on planting.

Meet at the open space at the corner of Green St. and Berkeley St.
