Welcome to the KDB Bulb Blitz 2022! Keep Durham Beautiful is offering FREE flower bulbs to Durham groups including: neighborhoods, community gardens, faith-based organizations, garden clubs, schools, civic groups and other organizations. We are thankful to our garden center donors for these end of season bulbs.
The deadline to apply for bulbs is Monday January 14. (until supplies run out) Our turnaround is so fast because the bulbs must be planted ASAP for best chance of survival.
We have at least 100 available bulb packets that can be reserved for your group on a first come first serve basis. Bulb packets may include a mix of daffodils, tulips and more.
Pickup will take place outside of our office at 2011 Fay Street on Tuesday January 11 and Friday January 14 from 9am to 5pm. Pickup will be organized in a socially distanced manner and masks will be required.
Eligibility:
someone able to pick up on designated day
plant bulbs within one week of receiving
planted by volunteers of an eligible group in Durham
plant in a space visible to the public such as in a community, school, faith-based or neighborhood common space or street front
