Become intimate with a section of one of our local creeks. Modeled after "River Tracing," a popular adventure activity in Taiwan, this immersive and educational experience will have you walking along, wading in, and bushwhacking beside a section of Ellerbee Creek through Durham. We'll follow the creek on it's convoluted and altered course along greenways, through parks, under highways and parking lots. We will witness, learn, and experience it's vulnerability, history, importance, and connection with our community. This adventure is not appropriate for children. Participants will get dirty, wet, and be challenged :)
You must provide your own clothing/footwear (that can get dirty and wet), and a headlamp or flashlight (limited clothing and gear can be provided with advanced request). A more comprehensive gear list will be provided for registered guests. Event is weather and water level dependent. Participants can register here!
