Join Keep Durham Beautiful to plant 100 trees at Forest Hills Park! We are excited to be partnering with Forest Hills Neighborhood Association; we are so thankful that they are sponsoring the trees for this planting.
Everyone is welcome to come help us plant - no experience is necessary! We will begin the day with a tree planting demonstration. Children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult. Shovels and gloves will be provided; if you would like to bring your own shovels please make sure they are labeled with your name.
Please wear long pants and closed toe shoes and dress in layers for the weather. Bring your own reusable water bottle to help us reduce waste. Some people like to bring a small backpack to carry along personal items.
There will be four shifts. Register for one or more:
11 am-noon Setup
noon-2 pm Tree Planting Shift 1
1-3 pm Tree Planting Shift 2
3-4 pm Cleanup
