START YOUR OWN “POLLINATOR POCKET”
In an effort to honor Earth Day and to bring some joy to our community, Keep Durham Beautiful is mailing sunflower seed packets to the first 300 Durham resident that fill out our seed request form (one per household).
Plant these seeds in a special place where you and our friendly pollinators will enjoy the blooms. Pollinators rely on flower nectar and pollen as a food source. Give them a “pocket” of flowers where they can find nutrients and shelter year after year. Learn more about pollinator pockets here.
