Tree Keeper Training: Planting Workshop

  • Pearsontown Elementary School 4915 Barbee Road Durham, NC, 27713 United States (map)

Thank you for choosing to join us! This workshop is FREE and open to the public. This workshop will focus on the basics of planting. Trees are essentially a lifetime investment. How well your tree, and investment, grows depends on the type of tree and location you select for planting, the care you provide when the tree is planted, and follow-up care the tree receives after planting.

WHAT IS A TREE KEEPER?

A Tree Keeper means you have accumulated the knowledge and skills to be able to help assist in other volunteer events and help others learn how to plant trees and experience the joy they bring!

If you are intending to be a Tree Keeper, you need to attend a workshop and we ask that you be prepared to attend at least one tree planting this season and utilize their newfound skill to teach others the basics of tree planting and care. Not only will you be a steward of the land but you can share joy and knowledge with people in your community!

Thank you for being dedicated to Durham's canopy and the trees that make our city beautiful and healthy!

ATTEND THE TRAINING:

There are 3 Tree Keeper training dates being offered. Please attend at least one but you are welcome to come to more than one. Fill out the form at the link below to register.
