NEED A WAY TO GET RID OF UNWANTED ITEMS WITHOUT DISCARDING THEM IN THE TRASH?

COME OUT TO OUR REUSE RODEO

A ReUse Rodeo is a “one-stop drop” event that allows residents to donate their gently used items to multiple nonprofits all at one time and in one place.

The ReUse Rodeo will take place October 21, 2017, from 8 am to 2 pm

This time around we will once again be partnering with TROSA, The Scrap Exchange, and First Pages, with the addition of Recyclique and Holt Elementary PTA.

Specific items requested for donation include:

  • Books, especially children’s books preschool to fifth grade
  • Small electronic items in good condition (games, toys, computers, radios, tablets, etc)
  • Toys aged preschool to fifth grade, puzzles, games, etc.
  • Small housewares (towels, washcloths, cookware, teapots, etc)
  • Small appliances (lamps, irons, blenders, microwaves, coffee pots, etc)
  • Furniture (anything in usable condition, including cribs and other baby furniture)
  • Men’s clothing and shoes
  • Women’s clothing, shoes, and jewelry
  • Construction materials (no hazardous chemicals)
  • Craft and sewing supplies, paint, sandpaper, stains, etc

The event will be held at the Durham County Stadium. There will also be E-waste and Plastic Film recycling and paper shredding on site for your convenience.
