Durham Big Sweep
Participate in the largest Litter cleanup event of the year
Every September and October, groups from across Durham volunteer to pick up litter in their local neighborhoods, parks, and streams. This is one of the longest running events hosted by Keep Durham Beautiful. Over 4700 volunteers have picked up over 130,000 pounds of litter since Big Sweep's inception in 2005. This event provides countless benefits to the communities involved and is one of the most impactful means of keeping Durham beautiful
